On doubt. Can you be facing the fire and still not be sure it is there? Yes. Doubt is not always a signal that distance is increasing. Sometimes it is what faith feels like when the warmth is real but not yet steady enough to quiet every question. Can I be facing the fire and still not be sure it is there?
On suffering that has no explanation. The model does not make suffering less evil. A child born sick did not choose the distance. Depression is a road condition, not proof of spiritual failure. The framework will not hand you a reason. But it will sit in the cold with you. The Road Conditions
On assurance. If you do trust Christ, your doubts do not undo His work. Your failures do not reverse the verdict. The fire does not change its mind about you.
If you do not know whether you trust Him yet, you are still allowed to bring your pain, your anger, and your questions here without pretending.
